Cooper Climax - Classics GP Cars

I came across this classic car while surfing on the net the other day and found out too that the slotcars maker Scaletrix have also produced a model that resembles it too. It looks very appealing though, and i thought that could well add on to my dad collection of cars.

My dad being a race car fan seems to also like the model too and happen to tell me that when i'm younger when he started to play slotcars he have a few of these cars too, which rang my bell that i think i seen them too and probably wreck and destroy them by ripping them apart (can't blame me, kids) :P

Cooper Climax T53 1960 Portuguese Grand Prix

Engine: 2,462cc inline four / double overhead camshafts
Transmission: 5 speed gear box / dry 2 plate clutch
Chassis: Space-frame / coil springs / cast magnesium alloy wheels

And here is the model counterpart of the real car in finely detail 1:32 scale

The model has a thin, narrow body and it looks almost impossible to get a normal slot car motor inside. Well it is, so Scalextric have used a smaller motor. Even so, the front of the motor is coming through the driver's chest. I get the impression that rear of the car has been stretched a little to fit the motor between the driver and the rear axel. I'm sure that some of our experts can tell us just how elongated it is.

The narrow motor is in-line, rear-mounted and is the same as those found in the modern F1 cars. The reference is W9049 and it has a 18K RPM. It has a short shaft and plastic pinion.

Rear tires -
diameter: 22.2 mm, width: 7.5 mm, rim diameter: 13.5 mm.
Front tires -
diameter: 20.7 mm, width: 6.0 mm, rim diameter: 13.5 mm.

I wonder what tires in the market are avaiable for this car?

A great car, adding to the wealth of Classics that are becoming available these days. I look forward to seeing this car in some classic races soon.

Dear Dear B'day 2008

Photobucket

September 4th 2008, was the 4th year of birthdays we have together. This year was pretty simple, we did no fancy dinner or have a time out to enjoy the special day,

Honestly speaking we are happy to go through this special day even though is simple, as the important thing is i promised her that i will give her the biggest present which is Los Angeles - ALS in 2009. So temporary sacrifice is worth it. On that night we went out to service a customer met some prospects. In fact was so buzy that she herself forgotten its her birthday. poor gal... :(

Photobucket

Before the surprise cake was presented she was buzy practicing for her cat-walk which she will be participating for the Ladies Night organized by Ladies for Ladies ONLY this month end.

But the day was special because we celebrated with a group of good friends in our team. Special thanks to camera-man Benny, Susan and CK for the wonderful Cheese Cake....

Thanks everyone...... cheerios...

1st Day - 2300PV

This has never happen to us. It was the first time we did experience in the 1st single day we already achieve 2000PV above. Would like to take the opportunity here to thanks my fellow group of distributors for their co-operation. I beleive we can work together and even help everyone in the team to reach such a target too one day.
