Cooking Dinner with Healsio

Have u heard of an oven which cooks its food with Water? Not only that it can Roast, Grill, Steam, Bake etc all with water only. Amazing? Well its not the latest and pinnacle in technology as it was already being used in Hotels kitchens to cook in a healthier alternative way, (tastier food minus the fat and cutting down on salt) but it is now available for your home, and it is sold exclusively through Amway Malaysia

Fancy an oven that zaps the fat from your food? Well, Sharp's water oven. For those still in the dark, the Healsio (an approximation of the Japanese meaning "reducing salt") utilizes steam superheated at 300 degrees Celsius. This potent steambath apparently melts away fat and reduces oil and salt in meat, but amazingly won't wilt your veggies into lifeless clumps, instead preserving those essential nutrients and vitamins. Those of us at the press launch were equally amazed that the Healsio could toast bread with just water, albeit at superheated levels. For those watching their figure, Sharp claims that's eight times more fat removed to using a frying pan, 13 percent more calories cut, and thrice the salt reduced in grilled fish compared with cooking on a gas grill.

So on the weekend, Amy felt a little adventurous and creative in creating a meal which i alwiz ask her to, went and create a simple full meal with the oven. Here are some pics of the process.

E-Spring

Last week, me and amy went to her 3rd aunty home to fix the E-spring water filter. It was at long last after following up for months, she finally decided to buy the unit for her home. Also thanks to Mrs.Wong for telling her the importance of water filter today and also telling her how to improve her quality of life. Also thanks to amy for her steady followup too as i belief her persistence paid off......

I would also say a big thanks to Amway for offering the Join n Save 2 program which really helped us alot in promoting the espring because there is a saving of up to RM 200 for new distributors. And through this program we also get to sponsor her cousin brother Mun Hong.

Upon arriving at her home we, were greeted by amy aunt and 2 dogs, one named Guppy a Shitzu and Lucky a Dalmation. We went to her back kitchen to look at the possible ways to install the unit. It was not a smooth installation which i have encounter before as we have go there on/off for 3 days, a real challenge was the original faucet could not fit the adaptor as it was too short and it leaked water. Electrical point was also a problem, until Mr.Wong went and bought a 20 ft adaptor box and wire which i then bolted it on across the wall n ceiling.

After much work, the satisfaction was great to see her aunt happy and most of all helping one life a healthier and happy life. The machine stood in her kitchen in magnificent showcase. It looks like the most chic and most high-tech equipement in her age old kitchen.

It was an intresting field work as i got closer to amy aunty and cousin bro. After the installation her aunty spend us dinner at a nearby restaurant. I belief there is more units to come as i have already got my namelist :)

Shogun Buffet Dinner

Lol, we were having a farewell dinner for Eunice yesterday and we celebrated it in Sunway Pyramid - Shogun. Nice place i would say compare to 1 Utama branch. There are more food choices too. Overall the food was okay, nothing marvelous like the ones Saisaki. Nice ambience and comfort overall.

Slot Cars Racing

This is something of a new hobby for me but to some an old tradition of table top racing. The objective is get around a fix routed track with slots without falling out of it or coming out of it, which proves a real challenge in the balancing and setting up the car. Which reminds me when i was a kid my dad bought us a set of these to assemble and play at home....(those were the days) As far as i can see or remember, the cars now are very much better looking and attractive than before (lol), and its definetly could appeal to alot of ppl, age range from 10yr - 60yr + (even kids are so darn competitive in the club) and dun underestimate those "uncle's" too, they have lots of experience..... It seems to be a get together thing for me and my dad as we rarely did or have common intrest together except for motorsport racing. He chance upon it from his friend some couple of months back, telling him that they are forming a club soon and invited my dad to go over when they are lauched. Here are some pictures of the cars we are running and the cars that we have in our collection: NSR Clio Cup NSR Mosler MT900R Mini Cooper Limited Edition "Italian Job" Slot.It Mclaren GTR F1 Slot.it Lancia Martini LC2 Mercedes AMG CLK These are really scale models about 1:32, and they are replica of the real world counterparts in terms of the design. We normally race them over the weekend with the club members. Intresting thing is there are on & off races going on, some will like to take part the league tournament and some are there for just pure fun and to satisfy their need for speed. This little monster can be very fast if tune and set properly. Sadly the club which is located in (Aman Suria, Damansara, Malaysia) isn't getting much crowd or awarness. Maybe thru here haahahah people will get to know more. In due time i will post even more on this sport. Getting into this hobby isn't very expensive i would say if compare to R/C (phew). A decent car will cost around RM 200 and it will run very well already out of the box. Just some minor touch here and there and it will be competitive. lol...... i dun even have the adresss to the club... i will post in future.... till then......
